Italy activity trips

A wonderful base from where to explore the sights of northern Italy, the lovely Lake Garda region presents a range of exciting activities and excursions from canyoning to canoeing, Venice to Verona. This is a fantastic choice for your school activity trip.

Arguably the most popular of the Italian lakes, Garda is just a short drive to the lovely city of Verona. From here you are spoilt for choice with popular excursions possible to Milan and Venice for our groups. What’s more, you can enjoy the wide selection of sports, activity and cultural opportunities on your doorstep in the beautiful surroundings of the lake.

The Activity Package

We will work with you to build a programme to suit your requirements. With a range of supervised activities from mountain biking to kayaking, each can provide a very different learning outcome. A typical day includes activity sessions and leisure time to keep you and your group entertained throughout the trip.

Excursions & Visits

Boat trips around the lake will allow you to see Sirmione, Lazise and Riva and the spectacular scenery from the water. A visit to Romeo and Juliet’s famous balcony and the amphitheatre in Verona is an excellent half day excursion while a full day trip to Venice includes a boat trip into St. Mark’s Square. A visit to Gardaland theme park is also popular day out for our groups.

Travel

Garda is approximately 17 hours by coach from Calais and 1-2 hours transfer by coach from Italian airports including Milan, Bergamo, Verona and Brescia.

Lake Garda

Garda Village is situated on the southern tip of the lake, close to the popular resorts of Desenzano and Sirmione with direct and private access to the lake itself. The accommodation here is suitable for family-oriented parties and school groups only. Groups stay at Garda Village in mobile home units sleeping 4 or 5 persons, all of which include kitchen corner and bathroom with shower. Breakfast and dinner are taken at the main restaurant.

Alternative accommodations are available in the region with hotel options available in Desenzano and Bussolengo.
