Audruicq Tournoi

On the outskirts of Calais, this annual football tournament is an ideal Easter event for those not looking to venture too far across the Channel. The football itself takes place on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday with some free time during the days to see some of the local sights and shops.

Tournament Information

The Audruicq Tournoi is held over Easter weekend at the friendly ASA Audruicq club located just a short distance from Calais.

Played in accordance with the FFF (French Football Federation), matches take place on Easter Sunday and Monday.

Sample Itinerary

Friday - Morning departure for journey to France. Check in to accommodation, with free time at leisure.

Saturday - Free day at leisure to enjoy the on-site facilities or a possible excursion. Free time at leisure.

Sunday - Tournament matches during the day (typically either throughout the morning or afternoon depending on your category and scheduling). Free time at holiday park with free access to the AquaFun swimming pool complex.

Monday - Tournament matches continue during the day. Finals and presentation ceremony conclude the event. Free time at holiday park with free access to the AquaFun swimming pool complex. Possible journey home.

Tuesday - (Extra day) Check out of accommodation. Possible time at leisure. Depart for journey home. Return ferry crossing and onward journey home.

Sunparks resort

The Sunparks Oostduinkerke aan zee resort is just over the border on the Belgian coast. As well as the beach, you can explore the Westhoek, take a windy walk through the polders, or shop till you drop in nearby Nieuwpoort. On site, there’s plenty to enjoy including the fabulous Aquafun indoor tropical swimming pool.

Cottage are available for between 2 - 8 persons.

Hotels and hostels

This comfortable youth hostel is used to welcoming school groups and sports teams and offers an excellent base for your tour. Ideally suited to youth groups in a safe and secure environment, they provide twin room accommodation, a games room, and large reception area just a short walk from the beach. Local hotel options are also available.

Sportica

Sportica Gravelines is a great venue for groups with loads of sport and leisure facilities on site. There’s an indoor swimming pool with giant slide, roller-skating hall, table tennis, ten pin bowling and tennis courts. There are two accommodation buildings. You can choose either the simple hostel-style dorms or upgrade to twin en-suite rooms if you prefer.
