Top Visits

The Reichstag

Today the Reichstag houses the German Parliament and is one of the most recognisable landmarks in Berlin. A must-see during you visit. Guided audio tours are available, but the highlight is probably the fantastic mirrored dome.

Berliner Fernsehturm TV Tower

Berlin’s iconic TV tower is the city’s most visible landmark. Standing 368 metres high it is literally a must-see during you visit. The viewing platform provides stunning panoramic views over the city and beyond.

Brandenburg Gate

The Brandenburg Gate is probably Berlin’s signature attraction. Built in 1791 it was one of many historic city gates it is now reinvented as a symbol of unity for the new Berlin.

Berlin Olympic Stadium

Originally built for the controversial 1936 Olympic games the stadium now host major sports events and music concerts. A tour of the stadium and surrounding Olympic park offers an interesting insight into the history of the site.

Berlin Wall East Side Gallery

More than 100 paintings on what was once a section of the east side of the Berlin Wall, this is the longest (1.3km) open-air gallery in the World, commemorating the time of political change when the wall came down.

Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum

During WWII more than 200,000 people were imprisoned in this Concentration Camp. Tens of thousands died or were killed. Various theme based guided tours are available of the memorial centre and museums.

Checkpoint Charlie

The former border crossing between East and West Germany, Checkpoint Charlie is one of the most important landmarks in Berlin. Serving as a reminder of the Cold War and the partition of Berlin.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Morning departure from UK for flight to Berlin. Arrival and transfer to your hostel accommodation and check in. Free time for possible orientation and walking tour of the city. Evening at leisure.

Day 2

Morning chance visit to the Reichstag building. A chance to grab some lunch before making your way to the Brandenburg Gate and then Checkpoint Charlie. Evening at leisure in the city.

Day 3

Enjoy a morning visit to Olympic Stadium. Afternoon at leisure to explore Berlin – take in the artwork on the Berlin Wall East Side Gallery.

Day 4

A possible final morning visit or last minute shopping before making your way back to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
