More than 200 teams travel to the beautiful city of Hamburg each year and play on a stunning football tournament venue with 11 top level pitches to participate in the LAOLA Cup. Tournament Information

The sports campus of the Hamburg SV youth football academy is the venue of the LAOLA Cup. There are 11 high quality football pitches - 8 natural grass fields, and 3 latest generation artificial pitches.

There is no limit to the number of players per squad.

Teams will play a a minimum of 6 matches.

Excursions & Visits

Hamburg is an exciting and attractive city and has much to offer. Take a tour of Hamburg SV stadium and museum; enjoy a boat tour on the river Elbe and harbour party; or a night out on the Reeperbahn. The Arriba water park is next to the tournament venue, and one entry is included during the tournament for all participants.

Travel

Your football tournament tour package to the Laola Cup can either include or exclude flights, and will include return airport transfers in Germany. Tournament match transfers are also included as required.

Sample Itinerary

Monday - Depart for flight to Germany. Transfer to accommodation in Hamburg and check in. Tournament registration and evening Opening Ceremony.

Tuesday - Laola Cup tournament matches commence. Possible free time at leisure. Evening tournament dinner.

Wednesday - Continuation of Laola Cup tournament matches. Possible free time at leisure. Evening tournament dinner.

Thursday - Laola Cup tournament play-off matches and finals. Possible free time at leisure. Evening tournament dinner, award ceremony and Laola Cup party.

Friday - Possible leisure time or excursion (subject to flight times). Transfer from accommodation to airport. Return flight back to the UK.

Tournament hotels & hostels

The tournament offer a number of designated hotels and hostels to suit your budget. There are city centre possibilities as well as some closer to the tournament venue. Various meal options are available.

School accommodation

School classroom accommodation offers a low-cost option. The school is within walking distance of the tournament venue. Mattresses and sleeping bags/bedding must be brought with you. Breakfast is included at the school, and other meals can be added on request.
